RE: Stolen Montana

If they want it then they will take it especially if they came with a torch.I guess the biggest deterent would be remove the pinbox.Another thing for those that still have theirs is install a small game camera that takes pics with any movement.Put it in a place where your camper is in full sight but hid well and disable the flash.

One thing to remember when packing up to leave that favorite camping spot.If your running both or just electric then don't forget to make sure the element is turned off.Don't ask me how i know. :(

RE: Front Cap Stress Fractures

I think it was posted before but most likely the cracks are caused by oncoming trucks on a two lane road.I know when one goes by us they sure are pushing a lot of air.Someone said they could actually see their front cap move with the air from those trucks.

RE: We need a mattress

We told them to keep the mattress as we had a air mattress in the other one and kept it.Air mattress with the foam topper has worked great for us and we both have bad backs. The thing with the air mattresses is you can make them soft or firm and we do like ours firm.

RE: Battery Drain

If it's in storage you could disconnect the battery but leave the solar panel hooked up.If it still drains then a new battery could be in order for the next camping season.

RE: Question to men towing

Back in the 70's we went from a Coachman TT (no slides) to a small Dutchman 5th wheel (1 slide) then moved up to a cougar (2 slides) to our current triple slide. We have been very happy with our 5th wheels and i have learned to not get in a hurry and enjoy life.Yes i feel sometimes it's stressful but we take one day at a time and are enjoying life.

RE: Water Line Frozen This Morning

After spending some time in New Mexico this year we finally came home and saw frost on the car for the first time this year.Camper is still packed and it's almost time to head south for the winter.

RE: Dangerous Driving Around Curves or Exits

Be aware of exits and ramps as some could get tighter halfway thru them,i suggest watching for posted cautionary speed limits and stay close or below them.

RE: changing 30 amp to 50 amp

Why not check with the manufacturer ?,they should know if you really need 50A.I would think if it does require 50A service it would already be there.

RE: Michelin XPS question.

Roger,i dont own those tires but if the wheel blew apart then that's where i would start looking first instead of the tire.

RE: Removing 50 amp for 30 amp

We also have a 50 amp 5th wheel but we have a 50A to 30A dogbone that we have used and never lost any plugs.Me understanding is 1 ac with 30A or both on 50A.I have also heard that 50A is cheaper to run if your on metered electricity.

RE: What do I need to plead for different tires?

Since you have already signed the papers and took it off the lot i think you are stuck with them.Do as smkettner suggested and be happy with them as not all tires are maypops.

RE: Eldarado Cadillac Pulling A 5er !!!!!! Any Pics ?

I heard about a olds toronado pulling a regular camper in Oklahoma years ago.The strange thing about it was the rear wheels on the olds were tied up somehow and the rear tires were removed. It was pulled mostly around larger citys advertising the hitch and hitch bars.

RE: Black tank valve replacement

I would try to grease everything first and especially the cable assembly. The cable assembly might have a kink in it.
